The board of directors
hereby authorizes six $1,000.00 post high school scholarships on an annual
basis. Eligibility for these scholarships will be as follows:
1. Applicants
must be high school seniors
2. Applicants
or their parents must maintain an account at this bank for the last
year.
3. Applications
must be received by April 1st of each year.
Scholarships
will be selected and awarded as follows:
1. Applicants
will not be discriminated against because of race, color, national
origin, religion, sex handicap, or familial status.
2. Academic ability
will be the main factor in scholarship selection along with civic
responsibility and extra curricular activities.
3. Scholarships
will be awarded to two Albany High School students, two Holdingford
High School students and two of the next most qualified applicants.
4. A local college
selection committee will make scholarship selection.
5. Scholarships
will be awarded after the student completes two quarters or one semester
in any accredited non-profit post high school educational institution
and submits enrollment verification for the next quarter or semester
to the Avon State Bank
The purpose of the
Avon State Bank Scholarship is to offer students from the Avon Area
a chance to compete for awards primarily on academic ability. Excellence
in the classroom, civic responsibility and extra-curricular activities
will be considered in making an award. These scholarships are not intended
to replace any other forms of financial aide. These scholarships will
be available to students regardless of economic need or physical abilities
1. Six $1,000.00
scholarships will be awarded annually

may be obtained by requesting them from the Avon State Bank or from
the counselor’s office at Albany Senior High School or Holdingford
High School.
3. Applicants
